In fall of 2007, I took a break from my usual Southern California lifestyle to drive north and see what I could of coastal Northern California, ending up in
northern Oregon just in time for Thanksgiving at my grandmother's house. I
saw plenty of amazing things and went to many amazing places, including Big
Sur, the Redwood forests of Northern California, Mt. Shasta, Mt. Hood, and
the Columbia River in Northern Oregon.
